Week of March 17th to 21st!

Hello Parents! 
Our class started a new PYP unit called: Genius Devices.. 
Our focus this week was on Transportation!

Vocabulary: 
Train (engine,on the train tracks)
Airplane(fly, wings, In the sky)
Car (wheels, engine, on the road)

Let's build a train using foam shapes!

Wow! Great job Emre. How many wheels does your train have?

We used circles, squares and rectangles to build our trains!

On Tuesday, we went on a field trip to the Museum of Energy! We saw and learned about a lot of different types of energy and how we use them in our daily lives. We went to the oldest power plant in Istanbul! It is 101 years old and ran for about 70 years! It was so interesting!

Serra is showing us an old fashioned rain wheel!

Vehbi, can you turn the power on?

Serra told us about how the big engines work to create  electricity power so you can turn on the lights at night in your house!

Comprehension Activity: How do you get to school? By... car,bus,metro or walking?

                                                      Almina takes the bus to school!

We continued practicing for the Spring Performance Recital with Anna teacher's class!

C ıs for Car! P ıs for Plane and T ıs for Train! Lets paint the letters and make wind mobiles!
